Client Reports to Investigative Committee That Large Sum of Money Was Stolen from Hotel Room by 'Malaletka Anna'
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case based on the report of 46-year-old Grigor A., residing in Yerevan. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, he went to the Shengavit investigatory department on June 27, stating that a day prior, a girl identifying herself as 'Malaletka Anna' had stolen a significant amount of money from him while at the 'Paradis' hotel complex located at 4 Bagratuniats Street, taking advantage of his inattention.
Thanks to the efforts of the Shengavit police's criminal investigation unit and veterans from the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, the identity of 'Malaletka Anna' has been established. She is A. S., a 38-year-old resident of Yerevan. Police are taking necessary measures to locate her and recover the stolen money, which amounts to 400,000 dram.
Note: The suspect in the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
