Two Soldiers from the Village of Gishi Kill in Artsakh Due to UAV Strike
Today, two servicemen killed as a result of Azerbaijani provocations in Artsakh, Gagik Balayan and Armo Abgaryan, were volunteers from the village of Gishi in the Martuni region. This was stated in an interview with 24News by the head of the Gishi community, Serob Agabekyan.
“Both came from large families, each having 4 children,” he noted. According to the community mayor, they were reservists, having served for about 7-8 months. “Armo’s children include 2 adults and 2 minors, while all of Gagik’s children are minors,” he added.
Serob Agabekyan also recounted that during the incident, Armo Abgaryan's son was with him in the positions. “There was a shot; they were hit from the air by a UAV,” he said.
It is reported that today, on June 28, starting at 01:30, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from artillery towards the Armenian positions in Martuni and Martakert, also using UAVs. The Armenian side has reported a total of 4 casualties.
