Mourinho Suspended for 10 Matches in Serie A
The Portuguese head coach of AS Roma, José Mourinho, has been suspended for 10 matches in the Italian Serie A, according to gianlucadimarzio.com.
The decision was made by the Italian Football Federation's tribunal, which also imposed a €50,000 fine on him.
During the match between Monza and Roma (1:1) on May 3, Mourinho accused referee Daniele Chiffi of unprofessional officiating.
“It’s tough to play under the worst referee I’ve seen in my career. I’ve seen many referees, but I’ve never seen anything like this,” Mourinho stated after the match.
It is worth noting that on June 21, Mourinho was also suspended for four matches in European competitions after he insulted referees following the Europa League final.
