What Was Reported to the Prime Minister Regarding Desertion: Details
“During the autumn 2020 war and the period of martial law, numerous investigations initiated regarding cases of crimes against military service regulations and other offenses involve about 12,600 individuals,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced today during a session of the National Assembly's investigative committee, responding to a question about what has been reported regarding deserters and which state body is handling the issue.
“The criminal cases relate to citizens and military personnel evading conscription, failing to obey orders, desertion, voluntarily leaving their unit or place of service, stopping military service or the execution of certain duties through dismemberment, refusing to fulfill military service obligations, and other incidents,” Pashinyan conveyed based on information received from law enforcement agencies.
