Seven Incidents of Wild Animal Attacks Recorded in Various Communities of Armenia Last Week
From June 19-25, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded a total of 535 incidents, of which 159 were emergencies. Specifically, there were 69 fire cases, 6 collapses, 2 cases each of accidental incidents, search and rescue operations, strong winds, hail, and poisonings, 1 case each of utility system accidents, floods, lightning strikes, drownings, and corpse discoveries, 3 landslides, 5 suicide attempts, 7 wild animal attacks, and 55 snake sightings. Additionally, there were 51 road traffic accidents, 191 domestic calls, 6 false alarms about fire threats, 30 threats of fire origin, 20 false fire alarms, and 65 other incidents.
Due to weather conditions and other factors, there were 25 incidents involving the blocking of vehicles. Rescuers provided assistance to 36 citizens and moved 28 blocked vehicles to safe areas on roadways. During the previous week, 79 individuals were injured, and 8 people lost their lives. As a result of rescue operations, 3 individuals were saved.
