Explosion at Ammunition Storage in Bulgaria
This Sunday night, an ammunition storage facility near the town of Karnobat, located in southeastern Bulgaria, exploded. According to reports from TASS, referencing the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, several powerful explosions occurred in the storage area, followed by a fire.
The police have confirmed the incident, clarifying that there are no reports of injuries. The area has been cordoned off, and a team of experts will be formed to inspect the site of the emergency no sooner than 72 hours from now.
The agency notes that the storage facility belongs to Bulgarian arms dealer Emiliyan Gebrev, who previously experienced a fire at the same location in July 2022.
