What to Expect: Putin Will Soon Deliver a Address, Peskov
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, has announced that a message from President Vladimir Putin is expected soon, according to TASS.
"Soon," said the Kremlin spokesperson in response to a question about whether the president's speech could be expected at 10:00 Moscow time.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced the cancellation of all mass events in the city due to the introduction of a counter-terrorism operation regime.
Dmitry Peskov has also stated that Vladimir Putin is informed about the situation surrounding Prigozhin. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee has reported that a criminal case has been initiated on the basis of calls for military mutiny following Prigozhin's statements.
