The US Imposes Sanctions on Two FSB Officers from Russia

The US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control has announced that it has included two Russian citizens on its sanctions list: FSB officers Yegor Popov (born 1992) and Alexey Sukhodolov (born 1974). This was reported by Kommersant.ru.

The Treasury's press release indicates that those listed under the sanctions are employees of the FSB's Second Service.

In the agency's statement, Yegor Popov is presented as a curator of Alexander Ionov, the leader of the "Russian Anti-Globalization Movement." Alexey Sukhodolov is identified as the head of Popov's section.
