Cases of Child Exploitation Have Increased Since Erdoğan Came to Power
The Health and Safety of Workers Committee (İSİG) has published a report in connection with the day of combating child exploitation. This was reported by Ermenihaber.am.
The report states that during the years of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Turkey, approximately 888 children have died while being exploited as labor. “The agricultural, industrial, educational, and social policies implemented by the AKP have brought more and more child workers daily. On the other hand, to perhaps create the impression that 'child labor' does not exist, efforts have been made to hide this issue,” the publication noted.
It is worth mentioning that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's AKP has been in power for 23 years now.
