Azerbaijan's Objective is for People to Take to the Streets Out of Hunger and Demand Integration, Says Tatevik Hayrapetyan
Azerbaijan's objectives and the current situation in Artsakh have become dire, especially in the past six months, said Tatevik Hayrapetyan, an expert on Azerbaijan and candidate of historical sciences, during the 'Review' broadcast. She addressed the circumstances arising from the blockade in Artsakh.
“This is not a matter that can be ignored; this is the issue through which Azerbaijan is trying to hammer in the final nail in Artsakh,” she stated. “If you follow the Azerbaijani media landscape and the opinions being expressed, they clearly state what their goal is: they want people, so to speak, to take to the streets out of hunger and demand integration with Azerbaijan. That is the intention behind tightening the noose.”
She also noted that based on the behavior of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it seems as if nothing is being done, while Prime Minister Pashinyan's actions have led the situation into a deadlock.
