A Case Filed Against Prigozhin for Inciting Armed Mutiny

Following statements made by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner private military company, a case has been opened for inciting armed mutiny, according to the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, as reported by TASS.

It should be noted that Prigozhin announced today that Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu purposely arrived in Rostov to carry out a special operation aimed at the destruction of Wagner. He stated that Shoigu used artillery and helicopters to eliminate them.

“We must put an end to the evil that the Russian military leadership represents. Anyone who tries to resist will be destroyed. Justice will be restored in the military, and afterward throughout all of Russia,” said Prigozhin. He also claimed that Shoigu personally led the operation.

The Russian Ministry of Defense was quick to deny this information, stating that reports about attacks on Wagner's rear camps do not correspond to reality. “All messages and videos disseminated on behalf of Prigozhin on social networks do not reflect the truth and are informational provocations,” the Russian Ministry of Defense's statement read.

Dmitry Peskov mentioned that Vladimir Putin is informed about the situation surrounding Prigozhin. “All necessary measures are being taken,” he said.
