Ukrainian Army Strikes Bridges on Route to Crimea

The head of the Russian-occupied Kherson region administration, Vladimir Saldo, has announced that the Ukrainian army has launched a missile strike on the bridges leading to Crimea across the Sivash bay. The bridges have sustained damage, according to the Russian service of the BBC.

As Saldo reported, the strike targeted the bridges in the Chonhar region.
"The surface of the road on the bridges has been damaged. There are no casualties among the people... Communication between the Kherson region and Crimea continues to operate; the movement of vehicles is temporarily organized along alternative routes," Saldo stated.

He suggested that the strike was caused by Storm Shadow missiles.
The road that passes through Chonhar is the shortest route from Crimea to Melitopol and towards the southern front, where the Ukrainian army is currently trying to advance. Saldo did not specify exactly when the strike occurred.
