Russians Were Also Preparing: Ukrainian Prime Minister Discusses Counteroffensive
To liberate the occupied territories of Ukraine, time is needed, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal while discussing the Ukrainian counteroffensive. The Guardian reports that Shmyhal is confident in Ukraine's success.
“We will carry out very intelligent, offensive operations. And, therefore, it will take time. But we intend to move and move forward. We will go forward. And I am absolutely optimistic about the liberation of all our occupied lands by the Russians,” said the Ukrainian Prime Minister.
According to him, the Russians were also preparing for the counteroffensive and have mined many areas, which “complicates the advance of our defenders.”
“Unfortunately, during our preparations for this counteroffensive, the Russians were also getting ready, which is why there are so many mined fields, which really slows down our movement,” he said.
