VIDEO: Football Match Turned 'Swimming Pool' in Scotland
The Euro 2024 qualifying match between Scotland and Georgia was halted due to a 'flood' on the pitch. The game turned into a water polo match.
On June 20, heavy rainfall in Glasgow led the referee to take the teams off the field in the 10th minute of play.
The pitch had become a swimming pool and did not meet required standards, with players constantly slipping and losing the ball. It was noted that specialists were working on the stadium in an attempt to dry the field to try to resume the football match.
