Russia Was Able to Achieve a Ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, and It Is Documented on Paper: Zakharova
The sitting of the National Assembly's investigative committee examining the circumstances of the 44-day war is connected to the internal political processes in Armenia. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, while commenting on the statements made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the committee meeting regarding Russia's mediation aimed at halting military operations.
"No matter how heated the internal debate may be, there is a truth: it was Russia that managed to achieve a ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh in the autumn of 2020, and this is documented on paper," said Zakharova.
She believes it is better to focus attention not on finding culprits but to leave that matter to historians and on the implementation of agreements at a high level.
