Peskov Does Not Comment on the 'Sensitive Topic' of Azov Fighters Exchange
Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov declined to comment during a press briefing on whether Kyiv's demands regarding the priorities for prisoner exchanges are acceptable.
“I would not want to comment on the issue of exchanges in any way. It is quite sensitive, it is a complex, painstaking job that must be done quietly,” said Dmitry Peskov.
It is worth noting that first in line for exchange are the servicemen of the 3057th brigade of Ukraine's National Guard, which includes the Azov battalion (recognized as an extremist and terrorist organization).
Priority is also given to officers leading operations in ground forces, missile troops and artillery, air force, naval forces, marine infantry, and air defense.
