The president of the Armenian Federation of Disabled Sports, Sarkis Stepanian, commented that the team's results were satisfactory: “Overall, I am pleased with the boys’ performances. There were athletes who were capable of more, but overall, 21 medals is satisfactory. As for my own performances, I haven’t participated in arm wrestling competitions recently, but I was in good form and expected to achieve successful results.”
It is noted that Stepanian recently became the champion of an international para-athletics competition (shot put and discus throw). The tournament, which included 163 athletes from 15 countries, was held in the Czech Republic.
Representatives of the Armenian Federation of Disabled Sports are preparing for the World Championship in Disabled Arm Wrestling, which will start at the end of August in Kazakhstan.
