Five Dead in Israeli Military Operation in Palestinian City
At least five Palestinians have been killed and over 90 injured during an operation conducted by Israeli security forces in the Palestinian city of Jenin on the West Bank, Middle Eastern media report.
The Palestinian health services confirmed the number of fatalities. Additionally, during the operation, several Israeli soldiers were injured, three of whom are in moderate condition, while four others suffered minor injuries.
The counter-terrorism operation in Jenin was carried out by troops from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and border police units. It began on Monday night and continued until midday. During the operation, Palestinian fighters attacked army armored vehicles, prompting the IDF to deploy combat helicopters for aerial bombardments.
According to the Israeli news portal newsru.co.il, the operation is now concluded, and all Israeli soldiers and border guards have left Jenin.
