VIDEO: Attempt to Import Shoes and Clothing from Kyrgyzstan Without Declaration

The Eastern Customs Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia has established control over two cargo transport vehicles registered in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan as a result of an inspection conducted at the Gogavan-Privolnoye customs checkpoint. In accordance with the requirements of the EAEU customs legislation, these vehicles were sent for deep inspection at the customs checkpoint for control purposes.

As a result, it was found that the information regarding the cargo in the transit declarations was inaccurate. One of the transport vehicles was found to contain approximately 4300 kg of undeclared goods, including clothing, shoes, rubber tubes, posters, and suitcases. It was also discovered that there was a discrepancy between the weights of the goods listed in the accompanying documents and the actual goods present; a total of 17,522 kg was declared, while the actual weight of the goods was 13,296 kg.

The customs inspection of the other cargo transport vehicle revealed undeclared new clothing weighing 2,300 kg. Furthermore, inaccurate information was reported in the transit declaration. Specifically, 3,290 kg of coconut fiber cotton was declared, but the actual weight of the product in the transport vehicle was 572 kg.

Records of violations of customs regulations have been drawn up concerning these facts under the characteristics of Article 316 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Customs Regulation. The goods are mainly products from Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan, and the Russian Federation. The transport vehicles have been sealed and parked in the territory of the Gogavan-Privolnoye customs checkpoint.
