Russians Want 'Arsen Yerevanski' in Exchange for Mihran Poghosyan

“A few days ago, we wrote that negotiations were underway between the Armenian law enforcement agencies and their Russian counterparts regarding the extradition of former MP Mihran Poghosyan, related to the cocaine case brought to Armenia,” reports ‘Hraparak’.

“The head of the National Security Service had announced this in the National Assembly during a closed session, assuring that Poghosyan would be handed over to the Russian side. Of course, since 2018, there have been numerous instances where Armenia has requested the extradition of certain individuals to its law enforcement agencies, and these requests have been denied, but our sources have informed us that Russia has agreed this time to extradite Poghosyan, as they plan to exchange him for a recently arrested thief in law in Armenia, who Russia is very keen to obtain.”

We have learned that the individual in question is Arsen Mkrtchyan, known as “Arsen Yerevanski,” who was arrested on May 30 of this year. His lawyer claimed during that time that a warrant had been issued against “Arsen Yerevanski” based on a criminal case initiated in Russia.
