Armen Ashotyan has been arrested in connection with apparent abuses committed in the State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi of Yerevan, on the grounds of violating the conditions of pre-trial restriction. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.

“Mr. Ashotyan has been arrested for 24 hours, and he must appear in court within 12 hours to discuss the issue of custody as a measure of restraint. The basis for the arrest cited is that he violated the prohibition of absence stipulated by the constraints. However, the specifics of the violation were not mentioned. I directed this question to the investigator, but did not receive any clarification,” lawyer Tigran Atanesyan stated in a conversation with reporters near the Investigative Committee building.
