The Satellite is Already Operational, Actual Management Will Soon Be Conducted from Armenia: Minister of High-Tech Industry

In 2022, as a new development target and initiative, funds allocated from the state budget were also directed towards the launch of Armenia's first Earth remote sensing satellite and the acquisition of satellite imagery. This was announced by Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachaturyan in the National Assembly.

“The satellite is already operational, we are regularly receiving images, and the control center, as outlined in the contract, is fully equipped and ready for operation. Armenian specialists who have undergone training as part of the program will soon completely take over the management of the satellite, and actual management will be conducted from the territory of Armenia,” the minister stated.
