‘Pathogenic, Salmonella’. ‘Araks’ Poultry Farm's Production Activities Suspended
The Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia has conducted sampling of several locally produced frozen poultry brands in parallel with the Investigative Journalists NGO and submitted them for laboratory analysis. The examination revealed the presence of salmonella in samples of frozen chicken under the ‘Araks’ brand.
“Based on the results of the examination, the head of the Inspection Body has ordered a check at ‘Araks Poultry Farm’ LLC, and a duplicate laboratory examination has been conducted on a sample of the ‘Chicken Plate Araks’ product. The research reported a discrepancy in the ‘pathogenic, salmonella’ indicator. The production activities of the poultry farm have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for rectifying the identified violations,” stated the announcement from the Food Safety Inspection Body.
