Naked and Partially Mutilated Body of Russian Woman Discovered in Dilijan Forest
Officers from the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Criminal Police Department, along with police dog handlers, have been conducting search operations for several days in both Yerevan and Tavush Province. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
Today, on June 15, in a forested area adjacent to the 2nd loop of the Dilijan-Yerevan highway, police and canine unit personnel discovered the naked and partially mutilated body of a woman during investigative and search operations.
It has been reported that the deceased is a 24-year-old Russian citizen, who arrived in Armenia on June 4 of this year via a Moscow-Yerevan flight. After her mother had not heard from her for two days, she contacted the police at the “Zvartnots” line division and reported that she had no information about her daughter.
A criminal case has been initiated on charges of murder regarding the incident. According to G. Shamshyan, the police already have significant leads in the investigation of the murder. However, due to the interests of the preliminary investigation, certain details are not being disclosed at this time.
