Firefighting Operations Continue at Nubarashen Landfill
On June 15, firefighting operations were resumed at the Nubarashen landfill, with a firefighting crew dispatched from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia's Yerevan rescue department to the scene.
The fire was contained by 1:00 PM. It is noteworthy that on June 13 at 4:49 AM, the Crisis Management National Center received a report of a fire breaking out near the auto market, just before the Nubarashen landfill.
A firefighting crew was deployed to the scene and it was determined that the fire had indeed started at the Nubarashen landfill. The fire complexity level was declared as “1 Bis,” prompting the dispatch of three more firefighting units and a standby group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department.
The firefighting efforts were temporarily halted, and a monitoring team was established.
