Car Accident on Yerevan-Meghri Highway Leaves Road One-Way
On June 14, at 16:07, the crisis management center of the Vayots Dzor regional rescue service received information about a traffic accident on the Jermuk-Vayk highway with reported injuries. This was reported by the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
It was revealed that vehicles involved in the collision at the 141st km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway were a ‘Ford Transit’ (driver: S.H.) and a ‘Volkswagen Passat’ (driver: G.M.).
The rescuers provided assistance to the driver of the ‘Volkswagen Passat’ and a passenger identified as L.M. (born in 2005) and transported them to an ambulance. The injured were hospitalized at the Vayk Medical Center, where the doctors assessed their health condition as moderate severity.
It is noted that the road has become one-way; the rescuers have cordoned off the area.
