Stunt Accident During 'Gladiator' Sequel Filming Leaves Injured
Several crew members filming the sequel to 'Gladiator' in Morocco have been injured due to a stunt accident, BBC reports.
The film's production company, Paramount Pictures, announced that the injuries are not life-threatening, and occurred during the filming of planned stunt sequences.
“The crew members are in stable condition and continue to receive treatment,” the statement noted.
Earlier this week, The Sun reported an explosion occurred, leading to six individuals being hospitalized.
“It was terrifying. A massive fireball caught several crew members in its path. I've never seen such a horrific accident in all my years on set,” a source told the newspaper.
A representative from Paramount Pictures stated, “Safety and full medical teams were able to act quickly on-site to ensure the injured received necessary assistance immediately.”
