Import Restrictions on Vehicles Manufactured Before 2013 to Be Imposed in Georgia
“Import restrictions on vehicles manufactured before 2013 will be imposed in Georgia,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili during today’s cabinet meeting.
“We have decided to implement the ‘Euro-5’ standard for cars in the country. This practically means that the import of vehicles manufactured before 2013 will be limited. Our intention is for the regulations concerning passenger vehicles to come into effect on January 1, 2024, while those for buses and trucks will take effect on January 1, 2025. We are still discussing this,” said Irakli Garibashvili.
He also noted that the export of catalysts from Georgia will be prohibited.
