New Footage of Intense Forest Fires in Canada

New footage has emerged online showing the intense forest fires in Canada, according to local media reports.

Currently, there are 416 active fires in Canada, with 203 of them successfully contained. Since the beginning of the year, more than 4.6 million hectares of forest have been burned.

Earlier reports indicated that several schools in the eastern United States canceled outdoor classes due to the forest fires. Some airlines have also postponed flights.

U.S. President Joe Biden tweeted that 600 firefighters, support personnel, and special equipment have been dispatched to Canada. Experts are urging residents to stay indoors, as spending time outside could lead to respiratory issues due to the high levels of particulate matter in the atmosphere.
