Italian Foreign Minister Discusses NATO Membership for Ukraine

The question of Ukraine's membership in NATO will be decided after the end of the military conflict. This was stated by Italy's Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani in an interview with la Repubblica.

"We will determine the path for Ukraine to join the organization during the NATO summit in Vilnius. This is an important step, as Kyiv can be involved in international decisions," the minister emphasized.

Regarding the Italian aid provided to Ukraine, Tajani said that Rome is doing what is necessary. "We are not sending F-16s simply because we do not have them, and for the same reason, we cannot conduct summer training with those aircraft. Our package includes military supplies, uniforms, bulletproof vests, and ammunition," he stated. The Italian Foreign Minister also noted that Rome supports Ukraine's entry into the EU.
