The Chief Prosecutor Visits the Positions in Verin Shorja
The Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, made a working visit on June 9 to the military prosecutor's office of the Sevan garrison, accompanied by the Deputy Chief Prosecutor and Military Prosecutor Grigor Elizbaryan. This was reported by the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia.
During the working consultation, the prosecutors of the garrison's office reported on the lengthy and more complex criminal proceedings under investigation. As a result of the discussions, instructions were given by the Chief Prosecutor aimed at conducting efficient investigations.
Anna Vardapetyan addressed the cases that have been under investigation for over eight months, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the deadlines for these proceedings.
Following this, the Chief Prosecutor, accompanied by the Military Prosecutor, visited the 2nd Army Corps of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, where discussions were held with the commander of the army corps and personnel.
The commander presented the existing issues and the situation at the border to the Chief Prosecutor. During her visit, the Chief Prosecutor also met with personnel on combat duty in the area of Verin Shorja village in the Gegharkunik region and got acquainted with the prevailing situation in the contact zone.
