One of the Arrested in Mass Poisoning Case in Russia is Armenian
In several regions of Russia, three individuals have been arrested in connection with a criminal case of mass poisoning involving the "Mister Sidr" beverage. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that, during the investigation of the illegal circulation of life-threatening alcoholic products sold under the "Mister Sidr" brand, police discovered that a liquid containing alcohol had been stolen from a warehouse of the Center for Economic and Service Support of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Samara region.
The batch was confiscated during verification activities and had been stored in the warehouse since 2012. Two residents of Samara and the police sergeant guarding the warehouse have been arrested.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has determined that in May 2023, Dmitry Egorov and his father, Alexey Egorov, along with police officer Ivan Grebenkin, stole six tons of methanol from the warehouse of the "Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Samara Region" and sold it to Artyom Hayrapetyan. Hayrapetyan, in turn, supplied this alcohol to Anar Huseynov, the founder of "Andi" LLC. As a result, the toxic substance was used for making cider.
Hayrapetyan has been arrested and charged under part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of unsafe services). A criminal case has been initiated in the Main Investigative Directorate concerning the theft of alcohol involving the Egorovs and Grebenkin. Grebenkin and Dmitry Egorov have been arrested and charged with theft, and they have admitted their guilt. A wanted notice has been issued for Alexey Egorov.
