“I can personally be happy”: Ashot Pashinyan on Gayane Hakobyan's Sentence
The son of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Ashot Pashinyan, expressed satisfaction with the sentence imposed on Gayane Hakobyan, who was accused of kidnapping.
“I can personally be happy,” said Pashinyan. According to him, it is important that a legal assessment has been provided for the incident.
“The justice system and the punishment prescribed by the criminal code are not insignificant preventive measures in this case for Gayane Hakobyan,” he stated.
Ashot Pashinyan also announced that he will not appeal the court's decision: “Of course not, I will not appeal. This decision was put forth by the prosecutor, and there were no motions or objections against it.”
He further noted, “The goal was to ensure that such an incident does not occur again. I am pleased that a legal assessment was provided for the incident.”
It is worth recalling that Gayane Hakobyan was sentenced to 4 years of conditional imprisonment today and was released.
