Knife Attack in Park Leaves Multiple Children Injured in France

At least seven people, including six children, have been stabbed in an attack that took place in the eastern French town of Annecy. Reports from bbc.com indicate that a man armed with a knife launched an attack on three-year-old children near the town's lake around 9:45 AM, according to authorities.

French television reports that some of the children are in critical condition. French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin tweeted that the assailant was 'arrested thanks to the rapid response of security forces.'

French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne has traveled to the scene. Annecy is located in the French Alps, about 40 km from Geneva.
