Destruction of Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant Will Not Affect Counteroffensive, Zelensky's Office
The office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has assessed the impact of the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant on the counteroffensive. According to Bloomberg, Deputy Chief of the President's Office Igor Zhovkva stated that the incident will in no way hinder Kyiv's plans.
“This would happen sooner or later, which is exactly what occurred at 2:50 AM. This will not affect military operations, and we will carry out the counteroffensive,” Zhovkva said.
He also called on the country’s Western allies to clearly state that Ukraine’s “complete security is only possible if it fully joins the EU and NATO.”
