Russian Ministry of Defense Proposes Notifying Citizens About Draft via SMS

The Russian Ministry of Defense has proposed amendments to the notification process regarding military conscription for citizens, suggesting that individuals subject to the draft be informed through SMS messages.

The draft decision has been published on the federal portal of regulatory legal acts. The document states that eight points may be presented with the updated amendments.

According to the proposal, notifications sent by the military commissariat will be recorded in the personal database of Russian citizens, on the state services portal, and in the personal tax database.

"Additionally, an SMS notification will be sent to the mobile phone number specified in the state and local governmental services portal," the document states.
