71 Russian Soldiers Killed Due to Attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces, Shoigu States
Russia's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has stated that over the past three days, the Ukrainian armed forces have been trying to launch a counteroffensive, which has been repelled across all fronts. This was reported by Ъ.
According to the minister, the attack resulted in the deaths of 71 Russian soldiers, with 210 others wounded. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not reported on the losses of the Russian Armed Forces since September 2022.
Shoigu disclosed that on June 4, Ukrainian armed forces attempted an offensive in five directions, and on June 5, in seven directions. “In just three days of combat operations, Ukrainian armed forces have suffered a total loss of 3,715 military personnel, 52 tanks, 207 armored vehicles, 134 trucks, 5 aircraft, 2 helicopters, 48 field artillery pieces, and 53 drones,” he stated.
“Unfortunately, we have not spoken about losses. In total, during the repulsion of the enemy's attack, 71 servicemen from the Joint Group were killed, and 210 were wounded,” said Sergei Shoigu, as quoted by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
He also added that the Russian side has destroyed 15 tanks, 9 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 trucks, and 9 artillery pieces.
