VIDEO: I wasn't persuaded, I got into Ms. Gayane's car of my own volition, says Ashot Pashinyan
I got into Ms. Gayane's car of my own volition; my abduction began when I wanted to get out of the car, but Ms. Gayane wouldn't let me. This was stated today, June 5, during a conversation with reporters by Ashot Pashinyan, the son of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“I wasn’t persuaded; I got into the car of my own volition. The abduction didn’t pertain to getting into the car. The abduction started when I wanted to get out of the car, but Ms. Gayane wouldn’t let me. Ms. Gayane hadn’t informed me in advance that we were going to Yerablur. I respectfully told her that anyone from my parents' side who wanted to contact me, has contacted me, and anyone who wanted to meet has met with me. However, now I do not wish to go to Yerablur with you because you are saying, without considering my will, that we are going there,” he said.
Ashot Pashinyan added that all similar incidents should receive legal commentary. His responsibility was to address the judiciary, while the rest is the prerogative of law enforcement officials.
