Ukrainian Armed Forces Transitioning to Counteroffensive Actions in Certain Directions: Deputy Minister of Defense
Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar has announced on her Telegram channel that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently continuing their defensive operations, but are also engaging in counteroffensive actions within the framework of these operations.
“Therefore, in certain directions, we are transitioning to counteroffensive actions,” she added.
Malyar stated that the “epicenter of military operations” remains in the Artemivsk direction, where Ukrainian forces are moving along “a rather broad front.” The representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense insists that Ukrainian soldiers are “capturing dominant heights” in that area.
Malyar also noted that local battles are continuing in the south. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had launched a large-scale attack in the Yuzhno-Donetsk direction on the morning of June 4, but were unable to achieve success.
