I Make the Decision, I Do Not Use the NSS: Ashot Pashinyan
The son of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Ashot Pashinyan, has stated that he does not utilize the services of the National Security Service (NSS). This statement was made during a court session regarding the case of fallen soldier Zhora Martirosyan’s mother, Gayane Martirosyan.
“I do not use the National Security Service, while at the same time, the NSS decides whom to provide surveillance for based on their operational situation or their appropriateness,” he stated.
Ashot Pashinyan noted that the services provided by the NSS are established by law and have no relation to him as a citizen. “This means that if the NSS considers me an interesting individual from the perspective of state protection and believes it necessary to ensure my safety in some way, that is their decision. I do not use the NSS,” the Prime Minister's son emphasized.
It is noteworthy that today it became known that the preventive measure for Gayane Hakobyan, who is in detention in connection with Pashinyan's son, has been changed to house arrest.
