Video: Woman Assaulted After Feeding Stray Dogs

This morning, we reported on a woman who was assaulted by men in Tairon, she stated that prior to the incident, she was feeding stray dogs, which led to a dispute with several locals, resulting in her being hit multiple times.

According to Oragir.News, the media outlet interviewed Anna Manukyan, who said, “There was a guesthouse about 300-400 meters away from that area, and a man and a woman came, the woman introduced herself as the presenter Zara Karapetyan. She told me that I was disturbing their business by feeding the dogs, and I replied that I wasn’t doing anything wrong, I was simply feeding innocent animals. After that, they started yelling at me, hurling sexual insults towards me and my family. This was followed by punches to my arms and shoulders.”

She noted that after the incident, she got into her car, drove about 100 meters ahead, then called the police, and on their urging, also called for an ambulance, as she felt unwell: “The doctors came, measured my blood pressure, and gave me sedatives, as I was crying loudly. Animal-loving girls also arrived. Together with the police, we went to the Ejmiatsin precinct, and I filed a report regarding the incident. The police were very slow to take my statement; we asked why they weren’t taking the report, and they said they had the right to hold us for up to 5 hours. However, since I was feeling unwell, they took my statement after about 2 hours. I don’t know what that was about; perhaps they weren’t willing to take it seriously.”
