Blinken Addresses Russians with Statement
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking at an event organized by the Finnish Institute of International Affairs at Helsinki City Hall, stated that the U.S. is not an enemy to the Russians, TASS reports.
"The U.S. is not your enemy," he said to the Russians. He clarified that Washington has maintained stable cooperative relations with Moscow for thirty years. A secure and prosperous Russia is in America's interest, he stated.
He also mentioned that the U.S. does not seek to overthrow the government in Russia, and that it is up to the Russians to determine their future. During his speech, Blinken also declared that NATO's "doors" will remain open for new members of the alliance.
