US Positive Reaction to Baku's Hidden Blackmail Could Have Serious Consequences: Tigran Abrahamyan
Days ago in Berdzor, the President of Azerbaijan threatened the residents of Artsakh with rather aggressive and brazen language. This was reported by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the parliamentary faction ‘We Have Honor’ on his Facebook page.
“In addition to demanding the dissolution of the state administration system and the resignation of the supreme military-political leadership, he also threatened that otherwise, he would resort to harsh measures. The US State Department, responding to Aliyev’s statement, did not address the threats to the physical existence of the Artsakh people or the risks of solving issues through the use of force, but rather welcomed Aliyev's willingness to declare an amnesty for the Artsakh authorities,” he wrote.
“It is clear that the intentions of the Pashinyan group to hand over Artsakh to Azerbaijan have created an extremely complicated situation regarding the Artsakh issue. However, the fact that Washington is ignoring Azerbaijan's escalating aggression and responding positively to Azerbaijan's hidden blackmail is absolutely unacceptable and fraught with serious consequences,” he added.
Let us recall that the United States welcomed President Aliyev’s recent statements regarding the discussion of amnesty.
