Georgia Supports Peace Negotiations Between Armenia and Azerbaijan - Garibashvili
Georgia supports the peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as they are in the interest of the entire South Caucasus region. This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to reporters at the European Political Community summit in Moldova, according to TASS agency.
“I believe that Georgia has played and plays a neutral and impartial role in strengthening stability and peace in our region. We have excellent relations with both Azerbaijan and Armenia. Georgia played a very important mediating role after the Karabakh war in 2021.
Essentially, we support the peace negotiations that are taking place between Azerbaijan and Armenia and believe that this is in the interests of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the entire region,” Garibashvili said.
It should be noted that today, June 1, the European Political Community summit is taking place in Moldova.
