There is No Question of Joining the Union State on Armenia's Agenda: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, commented on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's statement regarding Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet republics potentially joining the Union State.
"This issue was addressed by the Prime Minister of Armenia in January 2023, and there is no such question on Armenia's agenda," Badalyan stated.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned during a press conference on January 10, 2023, that Armenia had not received any official proposal from Russia about joining the Union State.
Recently, President Lukashenko remarked that if "someone is concerned about the issue of nuclear weapons, they should join the alliance of Russia and Belarus, and 'everyone will have nuclear weapons'."
