Not All Injured in Rostov-on-Don Were Hospitalized: The Number Reaches 32, Including 21 Children
The number of injured from the collapse of a grandstand in Rostov-on-Don has reached 32. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing regional governor Vasily Golubev.
The grandstand collapsed during a competition among schoolchildren at the Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 5 in Rostov-on-Don. Preliminary data indicates that strong winds were the cause.
Governor Vasily Golubev stated that a woman has died and 26 people have been injured, including 15 children. “As of today, the number of injured is 32, including 21 children. One woman has died,” the RIA Novosti source said.
It was noted that not all injured individuals have been transported to hospitals. Investigators have examined the scene, and a decision has been made to initiate a criminal case.
It is recalled that earlier reports confirmed the collapse of the grandstand at Sports School No. 5 in Rostov-on-Don during a school competition.
