What Erdoğan and Putin Discussed
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated today, May 30, that during recent negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, they decided on further efforts to supply food to needy countries. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“During our last conversation with Mr. Putin, we discussed efforts to send food, particularly grain, to the poorest African countries,” Erdoğan said during a speech at the first meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party after the elections.
It is noted that on May 29, Turkish and Russian Presidents Tayyip Erdoğan and Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation and agreed on the development of bilateral relations. According to a statement from the Kremlin press service, Putin “warmly congratulated” Erdoğan on his reelection as head of state, while his Turkish counterpart confirmed “his commitment to continue working on the entire current agenda.”
