VIDEO: A Ukrainian Citizen Preparing to Transport Orphans Abroad Arrested in Moscow

A Ukrainian woman has been arrested in Moscow for planning to bring children without parental care out of the new regions. This information has been reported by RIA Novosti, citing a source within the law enforcement agencies.

The woman was allegedly acting on behalf of the "Save Ukraine" foundation, which is controlled by the Security Service of Ukraine.

In January, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government, the children’s rights commissioner, and local authorities to determine the number of orphaned children living in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, so that they could receive immediate state assistance and social support.

Maria Lvova-Belova, the Russian Commissioner for Children's Rights, also announced that a project titled "All Children of Donbass in Families" had been initiated.

In mid-March, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk approached Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova and Maria Lvova-Belova, requesting lists of orphans located in the new territories. She clarified that this concerns children who were citizens of Ukraine before February 24, 2022, and are under 18 years of age. Vereshchuk also requested information about children who have been relocated to Russian territory.

The woman reported that, following instructions from a volunteer named Anastasia, she was to go to Genichesk and organize guardianship for two children before traveling to Kyiv and then to Germany.

When entering Russia, she stated that the purpose of her visit was to acquire Russian citizenship and obtain housing.
