VIDEO: A New Bridge to Be Constructed Near Lusagyugh in Armavir Province Leading to Turkey
A new bridge will be constructed to replace the old one near the village of Lusagyugh in Armavir Province. The Road Department Foundation has issued a press release stating that the old bridge has completely collapsed and has become hazardous.
The bridge is located at the 11+400 km mark of the interstate highway connecting the Turkey border-Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Georgian border.
A decision has been made to install the foundations of the new bridge, followed by the placement of the reinforced concrete slabs. Other works as outlined in the project will also be undertaken.
The foundation reports that the transport facility is being built with funds from the state budget of Armenia.
It was also noted that the parallel bridge, which temporarily facilitates traffic during the construction, will be repaired and the new bridge will be constructed. The foundation reminds that the maximum permissible weight for vehicles using the bypass bridge is 7 tons.
