After the 'Peace' with Pashinyan, Aliyev Will Repeat the Young Turk Scenario in Nagorno-Karabakh: Zatulin

The recognition of Azerbaijan's rights over Nagorno-Karabakh and the Armenian leadership's willingness to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, which has been repeatedly confirmed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, is viewed extremely negatively by many political figures in Armenia and abroad. This was stated by Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs of the State Duma, in an interview with 'Rusarminfo.'

Zatulin pointed out the potential consequences of signing the peace treaty for Artsakh and its population. In his opinion, the treaty would put an end to further discussions regarding the status of Nagorno-Karabakh and would entail the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the region, as Azerbaijan seeks this outcome.

The lawmaker predicted a scenario similar to that of 1915. Zatulin also called on Armenians not to place hope in the West, which currently benefits from the confrontation between Azerbaijan and Iran. In this context, the U.S. is more likely to turn a blind eye to many issues, including the expulsion of Artsakh residents.
